Posluszny Is Irish

Linebacker Dave Posluszny of Hopewell High School (Aliquippa, Pa.) knew going into his visit to Notre Dame on Wednesday that there was a chance he would end his recruitment, and that's just what happened.

Shortly after David Posluszny (6-2, 200 pounds) left Notre Dame he decided that he needed to place a call to Notre Dame head coach Charlie Weis

"I enjoyed the visit, so yesterday I called coach Weis and committed," Posluszny responded when asked about his visit to Notre Dame. "Going into the visit I knew that Notre Dame was my No. 1 choice. Just walking around campus, I just had the feeling that that was the place that I belonged.

"I loved the practice. I've been to other practices and they seemed to be long and drawn out, but Notre Dame's was only two hours. The tempo was really high and they really got a lot done in a short period of time. I was watching Maurice Crum and Steve Quinn all day and they were really doing a great job and I hope that I can come in and do what they're doing. After practice all the players came up to me and said hello and told me to jump on board.

"I think the thing that made me commit was how comfortable I felt with everything," Posluszny explained. "When I got there I sat down with coach Weis and my brother [Stan]. We just talked and after that I just felt really comfortable with everything and I just knew that was where I wanted to go."
