OK defensive lineman back from official visit

Oklahoma defensive lineman Carl Pendleton took his first official visit to Notre Dame this weekend. I talked to Carl about his visit and he seemed to really enjoy his visit.

"Everything went great. I loved the game. It's just a great college atmosphere. They sat us right in front of the student section and they are crazy. I got to go on the field afterwards and celebrate. The stadium was loud and it was a lot of fun."

I asked Carl if Notre Dame offered and what he thought of Coach Willingham. "They haven't offered me yet. I haven't played much defense this year and they said they want to see some more film before they offer me. Coach Willingham is a great man. He is such a good guy. He is doing an excellent job with the program so far."

Carl said he felt comfortable at Notre Dame with the students, the players and the coaching staff. "I felt comfortable there. It was a real nice atmosphere. The campus is impressive. They are definitely in my top three. I will have to wait and see if they offer."

Carl said he plans to take some more visits to decide. He plans to visit Stanford and Oklahoma but isn't sure who else he might visit.

Comments. You can tell Carl really liked Notre Dame and Coach Willingham. I do think he was somewhat disappointed he wasn't offered but Notre Dame will have time to make a decision. I guess we will have to wait and see if they do offer.
