"I am so mad. Our team should be 2-0 but we are 1-1 right now. We lost a game where we had 17 penalties and lost 150 yards on offense and 2 touchdowns called back by penalties. We lost by two points. It was just one of those days."
Kenny hasn't had "one of those days" with regards to recruiting. Kenny has offers from all the top schools in the country including Notre Dame. "I just got my official offer from Notre Dame. I was excited about that. I have been watching them since I was a little kid. They have the NBC contract and I have been watching them every week. They beat Michigan and they look like they are playing very well. They have a great defense and that is what I like to see. Their corners are very good."
I asked Kenny if he has set any official visits yet. "No, I haven't done that yet. I should have them set up in the next few weeks. I am trying to figure that out now. I am not sure who I will visit yet but Tennessee, Notre Dame, Purdue, Michigan, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU and Nebraska are some schools I am considering."
I asked Kenny why he wasn't considering visiting the Florida schools. "I already know a lot about them. If I feel I need to know more about them, I might visit them but I don't know as much about the other schools I am interested in. I don't know, I haven't really decided what I want to do."
Kenny did say he had a plan on when he would visit. "I think I might try to take one or two during the season. The rest will be in either December or January. I was invited to the Army All-Star game so I will be going to that. I probably won't decide until signing day. It's such a big decision and this only happens once in a lifetime.
Kenny has one thing he is looking for more than anything. "I just want to feel comfortable. I want to feel like I belong. I want to feel comfortable with the coaches, the school, the players, everything about it. I do want to play early. If you don't want to play, you shouldn't be in this game so I do want to see an opportunity to play early."
Comments. In years past, I would say this looks grim. Notre Dame hasn't had much luck with signing day kids and especially those from Florida. I think Kenny has a sincere interest in Notre Dame. I think he will visit and we will have to wait and see what he thinks after his visit. A great kid and one they could use. 6-2 4.4 corner don't come often.
