Browns Purchase Plane Ticket

Jeremy Brown's unofficial visit to Notre Dame is now set in stone. His father Terrell Brown purchased a plane ticket, and the 5-foot-10, 170-pound cornerback/receiver from Orlando, Fla., will see South Bend for the first time.

"I originally was going to try and get Jeremy up there at the beginning of the month," Terrell Brown said. "I got him locked in for th 26th. He will arrive in South Bend on the 26th and stay thru the 30th.

Originally going to wait to see Notre Dame's campus on his official visit for the USC game in October, Brown and his father decided to move their visit up after the recent string of commitments from defensive backs Robert Blanton and Jamoris Slaughter, and defensive end Ethan Johnson.

Jeremy Brown, who is basically down to Florida and Notre Dame with a few programs hanging on, was very excited about Notre Dame's recent recruiting success, and also realizes spots are filling up.

Last season, Brown and his 4.43 speed in the 40-yard dash hauled in six touchdown passes for Boone High, helping them to the 6-A semifinals. He also intercepted six passes. Two of those he returned for scores, but a penalty nullified both plays. He set a school-record with a 95-yard touchdown run, and wants to kick and punt return wherever he goes. Irish head coach Charlie Weis wants Brown on offense. Defensive coordinator Corwin Brown would like to have Brown on his defense. Top Stories
