Notre Dame was on Malcolm Bush's list.
A few weeks ago, Miello sent the senior film to South Bend.
"They got the film," Bush said. "I'm waiting for them to evaluate it and get back to me."
The 6-foot-5, 220-pound Bush says he is currently favoring Pittsburgh and North Carolina. Both programs have offered, and Bush took a visit to Pittsburgh last weekend. He'll trip to Chapel Hill the weekend of Jan. 17th.
Besides those two programs, Bush is still considering and hoping to hear back from Notre Dame, Maryland, Penn State and North Carolina State.
"Those are the other four schools I'm really talking to right now," Bush said. "Maryland is in the process of offering. Notre Dame and Penn state, Penn State also has film, so we'll just wait and see.
"I'll visit those schools only if scholarship offers are made," Bush said. "I won't come down there if they're not."
This past season, Bush had 32 receptions for 515 yards and six touchdowns. He wasn't sure of his defensive stats, other than the fact he had three sacks.
"The preference is really tight end," Bush said of the next level.
"If a school is recruiting me for defense, I'll probably still visit and keep them as an option. I wouldn't completely take them off the list. I'm not sure where Notre Dame is recruiting me."
With Notre Dame already holding verbal commitments from tight ends Jake Golic and Tyler Eifert, the Irish could be looking at Bush on the defensive side of the ball. As a junior, Bush had 55 tackles, three sacks and three forced fumbles. However, with Will Yeatman reportedly about to transfer from school, the Notre Dame coaching staff might want to try and add even more depth at tight end.
"About Notre Dame, I know basically what I see on TV, and what I've heard about Notre Dame," Bush explained. "But personally, I don't know that much about Charlie Weis, and what's going on at Notre Dame right now."
Perhaps Bush will be finding out more in the near future.
