Abiamiri down to two

I spoke to Victor Abiamiri off his impressive showing the all star game. Victor was in good spirits and you could tell he enjoyed his experience. Victor is down to two teams. Are the Irish still in it?

"It's down to Notre Dame and Maryland. I cancelled the rest of my visits. I will decide between these two schools."

Victor had a good experience at the all star game. "Thanks, I think I played well. It was a lot of fun. I enjoyed hanging out with the guys and talking to all of them."

I asked Victor what his plan was. Does he plan to have some in-home visits with the coaches and then decide? "I am not sure about that. I haven't really thought about that. I will sit down with my family and decide on that."

Victor already has two brothers at Maryland, Maryland is very close to his home and the family would not be split up to watch all of their sons play. Rumors have been circulating that Maryland is now the leader. I asked Victor this is true? "I wouldn't say that. Those are pluses in the favor of Maryland but Notre Dame has some advantages as well. Both schools have their pluses. I like the Notre Dame coaching staff and it's a great education."

So when will Victor decide? "I think I will decide in two or three weeks. I will sit down with my family and try to decide which school is the best school for me. I will just probably wait until it hits me."

Victor should decide soon. This defensive end proved that he is one of the top defensive end prospects in the nation with his play in the all star game. He might have been the best player on the field that night.
