Tai-ler Jones (6-foot-0, 174-pound) committed to the Stanford Cardinal early in the recruiting process, but he has decided to take at least one more look at Notre Dame.
"I'm planning on taking an official visit to Notre Dame the weekend they play USC," Jones responded when asked about his future plans. "As of right now, I'm not taking any other unofficial visits, except maybe a visit up to Stanford."
Despite his pending visit to South Bend, Jones still appears to be firm with his commitment to the Cardinal.
"I'm committed to Stanford for a reason," Tai-lor said. "So I'm not looking to change my commitment. I'd say the chances that I'd change my mind are slim to none.
"Coach Harbaugh told me that I get five official visits, and he said to use them if I wanted to take them, so they're okay with me taking this official. I'm not sure if I'll take all five yet. If I do take any officials, I'll go to enjoy the college football weekend and get to see the game atmosphere and get a feel for the schools."
Although Jones enjoyed his one trip to Notre Dame, his experience at Stanford was exactly what he was looking for.
"The moment that I stepped on campus, it was just a different feeling," Jones explained. "It was everything that I wasn't expecting to see when I went there. I had the best relationship with that staff. They made me feel that even though I'm 3,000 miles from home that they'll take care of me. They really gained my trust and that really means a lot."
