Coaches Like His Height

Anthony Jefferson from Cathedral High School (Los Angeles, Calif.) is one of the top athletes on the West Coast. He has some big-time offers and he'll likely receive more in the near future.

USC, UCLA, Cal, ASU, Arizona, Oregon, Tennessee and Oklahoma are just a few of the scholarship offers Anthony Jefferson (6-foot-2, 180-pounds) has landed. Notre Dame isn't in that group, but the Irish have been in touch with the standout athlete.

"Coach Polian is recruiting me, but I haven't talked to him for a couple weeks," Jefferson responded when asked about his contact with Notre Dame. "I think they're pretty interested in me, because they told me how they liked my size as a corner. There really aren't a lot of tall corners, and that's mainly what they've been talking to me about."

Despite the lack of an offer, Jefferson still holds the Irish in high regard.

"They're definitely one of the top schools that I like," Anthony explained. "They always have a good program and I've always been interested in Notre Dame.

"I know Ryan Grant, because his cousin is one of my good friends." Top Stories
