Devon Carrington (6-foot-0,183-pounds) completed two unofficial visits on the West Coast and now he's turned his attention to the Midwest.
"I just visited Stanford and it was beautiful up there," Carrington commented when asked about his recent trips. "They had a really nice campus. The education is out of this world and their football program is on the rise. They had a good recruiting class last year, so that will help. I actually visited Cal the same weekend.
"I'm trying to work things out right now with Notre Dame. We're trying to do something in July, but I'm not sure right now, we're just trying to get the details figured out so I can get out there."
Carrington likely won't make a decision until the fall, but expect the Irish to be in the race until the end.
"I still talk to coach Hart about every other week," Carrington said. "You can never rule out Notre Dame because of the tradition of their program, but also their need at safety and the opportunity for playing time is huge.
"I just have to get out there and check out the school for myself."
