The Notre Dame recruiting machine continues to roll on, as safety Chris Badger of Timpview High School (Provo, Utah) made a verbal commitment to the Irish today.
Chris Badger (6-foot-1, 200-pounds) had been committed to Jim Harbaugh and the Stanford Cardinal until the standout defensive back made an unofficial trip to South Bend this weekend.
"The Notre Dame coaches got in touch with me about a month ago, so I decided to take a visit," Badger responded when asked about his recruitment. "I had a great trip this weekend, I had a great feeling on campus and I just wanted to be a part of it.
"I committed to coach Weis before we left campus today."
Badger follows commitments from quarterback Andrew Hendrix, defensive end Blake Lueders and defensive back Lo Wood to become Notre Dame's ninth commitment of the 2010 recruiting class.
