Moore Sets Decision Date

Scout.com's No. 17 ranked middle linebacker Kendall Moore of Southeast Raleigh High School (N.C.) has completed his campus visits and now intends to make his college choice known.

Linebacker Kendall Moore (6-foot-2.5, 229-pounds) recently returned from an unofficial visit to Notre Dame and now plans to announce his college decision.

"I'm going to announce my decision on July 11 at my high school," Moore responded when asked about his pending announcement. "My coach is going to handle all the details, but I'll announce that Saturday at 5:00 p.m.

"My final three schools are Notre Dame, N.C. State and South Carolina."

After visiting Notre Dame this past weekend, Moore was impressed with what the Notre Dame program had to offer.

"It went real good," Moore said. "I went over with my mom and my dad. They loved it. All the history was impressive and academics were very impressive so they liked it a lot. There's a lot of history, and there's a lot of things going on besides just football program. I had a good visit.

"Coming in everyone was kind of the same, and I've tried to keep a level head, and evaluate all of my schools. I'm not going to name any leaders or anything, but Notre Dame would be there."

In a recent interview with Scout.com's Andrew Bone, Moore discussed his interest in North Carolina State and South Carolina.

N.C. State: "It's big for me because they were my first offer. That means a lot to me."

South Carolina: "They were my No. 1 from the beginning. I was liking them a lot especially after I visited the Tennessee game. It was ridiculous with all the fans. I like the atmosphere."
