Notre Dame has two wide receivers committed, but the class would look a lot better if Kyle Prater(6-foot-5, 205 pounds) joined the group. At this time, it appears the Irish are hanging in.
"I haven't talked to anyone from Notre Dame recently," Prater responded when asked about his recruitment. "I've been getting email from them pretty frequently, so they're trying to stay in contact with me, but I've just been laying low for now. I'm just trying to stay busy and work out. I haven't been in touch with ND lately, but I'm going to get in touch with coach Ianello soon.
"I've just been trying to keep everything cool. I've been working hard and staying focused, so recruiting hasn't gotten to me."
If Notre Dame is going to be able to land Prater they're going to have to beat out the best of the best.
"I've narrowed it down to ten schools," Prater said. "In no particular order they're, USC, Oklahoma, Illinois, Missouri, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Miami and Michigan. I'll probably get it down to five when the season starts.
"Our camp started June 9 and we just got a break for the Fourth of July weekend. We're going to get back at it, and our first game is at the end of August."
