Spencer Boyd (5-foot-10, 175-pounds) received nearly 20 scholarship offers during his recruitment, but on Friday he will select his future home from three schools.
"I'm going to announce my decision at a press conference on Friday," Boyd said of his pending decision. "I'm deciding between Georgia, Notre Dame and Michigan.
"Georgia is always a top program and they're good every year. They play in the SEC which is one of the top conferences every year. It's down south so it has nice weather. It's a really nice school.
"Notre Dame's entire coaching staff has made me feel really welcome," Boyd explained. "Coach Brown always talks about my family and not just about football, so that makes me feel that he cares about more than just football. The coaching staff has played and coached in the NFL. They've played and coached in college, so they know what it takes to get to the next level.
"Michigan also has a great coaching staff. The coaches joke around and make me feel welcome. They're from West Virginia and I'm a native of West Virginia as well. When they talk they have the same accent that my dad has, so we have a lot in common and we got along really well. Their strength coach seems like a great coach and I think he cold make me stronger."
