Shembo Picks ND

Notre Dame has another linebacker commitment from North Carolina. First it was Kendall Moore from Raleigh and today Prince Shembo of Ardrey Kell High School (Charlotte, N.C.) announced his decision to join Notre Dame's 2010 recruiting class. Shembo became Notre Dame's 14th commitment.

Notre Dame hosted Prince Shembo (6-foot-2, 225-pounds) for an unofficial visit last month, all their hard work paid off today when the future linebacker picked the Irish over Virginia Tech, North Carolina, and Tennessee.

Shembo's coach Marty Woolbright confirmed Shembo's decision in a conversation with the Charlotte Observer today.

"He and his family visited up there over the summer, stayed a few days, and he really liked the area and he liked the campus," Woolbright said to the Charlotte Observer. "He visited all three of those schools."

"He'll be a really good college player. He's just gotten better and better every year that he's played." Top Stories
