Prater is still looking around's No. 2 rated wide receiver Kyle Prater remains committed to USC, but he is still looking at other programs to be certain of his decision. One of the schools Prater is going to take a look at is Notre Dame.

Kyle Prater (6-foot-5, 205-pounds) took an unofficial visit to Notre Dame a month ago, and he's planning to return next weekend when the Irish play their final home game of the 2009 campaign.

"I'm going to be out there for the UConn game," the Proviso West High School (Hillside, Ill.) wide receiver said.

It will be Prater's second visit to Notre Dame in a month. Kyle made his way to South Bend October 17 to watch Notre Dame face the team he is currently committed to, the USC Trojans. After the game Prater said he liked what he saw from both teams.

"It was a great game overall," Prater said. "I was just enjoying the game and I got what I came for. Both teams were throwing the ball a lot. That really impressed me a lot."

USC will get their shot to make their case this weekend, when Kyle travels to the West Coast to watch the Trojans face Stanford. Although he appears to be looking around Prater is still committed to USC.

"My interest level in USC is as high as it was when I committed," Prater told Scott Schrader of "I'm just looking at a few schools just to be sure."

Kyle visited Illinois October 31, and still has plans to visit Oklahoma on November 28. Prater is planning on graduating early, so he will likely make a final announcement on his destination shortly after his final visit. Top Stories
