Justin Utupo (6-foot-3, 260-pounds) intends on sticking with his commitment to Notre Dame, but he plans on developing a backup plan just in case something unexpected happens.
"Notre Dame is still my No.1 school," Utupo said. I've talked to my parents and they want me to have a back-up plan, in case something happens, but as for now I'm still committed to Notre Dame.
"I'm disappointed. I got to talk to coach Weis and he seemed like a really good guy, so I wanted to play for him. I'll have to see if they change the whole coaching staff or just some of the coaches. I think coach Hart is a great man. He's a really nice guy and a good coach and I'd like to play for him.
"I want to see who they hire to replace coach Weis," he said. "After that, then I'll make my decision, but I'm still committed."
Utupo still committed
