Wright Doesn't Feel the Pressure

Remound Wright is excited to make a return trip to Notre Dame this weekend. The junior running back from Bishop Dwenger High School (Ft. Wayne, Ind.) doesn't have a scholarship offer from the Irish, but he's hoping to change that this weekend.

Remound Wright (5-foot-8, 195-pounds) has attended Notre Dame's summer camp twice and took an unofficial visit last fall for the USC game, but this weekend he'll be making his first trip to South Bend since the Irish hired Brian Kelly.

"I just got my junior day invitation from Notre Dame, so I'll be going there on March 20," Wright said. "That's pretty much all that I've been hearing from Notre Dame. There was that big lull in recruiting because of the coaching change, but before that I was hearing quite a bit from them.

"I'm just looking forward to getting back to Notre Dame. I'm just going to relax and enjoy everything. I'm not going to worry about not having an offer, and I'm not going to stress about finding out what they think or whether they're going to offer. I'm just going to take it one day at a time.

"I email with coach Alford every once in awhile," he said. "I still talk to Tyler Eifert, and he said that coach Hinton and coach Kelly watched my film and they liked what they saw. I really don't know where I stand though, because the communication really hasn't been there."

Wright has scholarship offers from Ball State, Indiana, Minnesota, Michigan State, Iowa, Stanford and Northwestern, Based on the contact he's received from other programs, Remound should land a handful more before he's ready to make a decision.

"I've been to a lot of places. I've been to Florida, Purdue, Michigan, and Michigan State," he explained. "I've had contact with coaches from Iowa, Harvard, and Stanford as well. I'm going to be checking out Penn State and Illinois soon. Those are two schools that I've had contact with but I haven't had a chance to go to.

"As far as camps, I'll probably go to a few one-day camps, but not too many, because I've been going to a lot of campus the last two summers. I'll probably just sit back and relax and rank the schools according to academics first, and then other stuff that's on my criteria list."
