Arnett Looking for One-On-One

DeAnthony Arnett is one of the top wide receiver prospects in the 2011 recruiting class and the Irish are hoping to get him to campus this spring. The standout wide receiver from Saginaw High School (Mich.) had been considering attending the Notre Dame junior day this weekend, but he's decided to schedule a visit later this spring.

Notre Dame will be hosting a number of top juniors this weekend, but DeAnthony Arnett (6-foot-0, 170-pounds) won't be one of them. Although the Irish are one of Arnett's favorite teams, he'd prefer to visit Notre Dame at another time.

"I'm going to go down for a practice," Arnett said. "I'd like to get one-on-one time with the coaches. I'm getting to the point where I'm going to start breaking things down, so I don't want to be down at Notre Dame with a bunch of other people.

"I've been talking to coach Martin and coach Alford the receivers coach. I need to call them next week and see what we can work out. Next time I go down I want to bring my mom down and get one-on-one time."

While most prospects are building their list of schools, and trying to manage a top-10, DeAnthony already has a handful of schools that have caught his eye.

"Notre Dame, Michigan State and USC are the three that are sticking out," Arnett said. "I like Tennessee also. I actually went up there last summer and they offered." Top Stories
