Grace: "Notre Dame is a Complete School."

Jarrett Grace is not only one of the top linebackers in the football rich state of Ohio, but he's also one of the top linebackers in the nation. The standout athlete from Colerain High School (Cincinnati, Ohio) is one of Notre Dame's top recruiting targets on defense and he was in town yesterday for the Notre Dame junior day.

Saturday wasn't the first visit to Notre Dame for Jarrett Grace (6-foot-4, 230-pounds), but this time he was hoping to get a chance to get a more in-depth look at the school.

"Things went really well," Grace responded when asked about his junior day experience. "When I went there last fall, everything was rushed and I really didn't get to see anything. With this I really got a close look at everything. I was with a G.A. almost the whole time. He was great and he answered all the questions we could possibly have had. We also got to see the dorms which was a neat thing.

"It was a great visit to say the least. I was very impressed with everything. We went on a general tour of everything, and it was just very impressive. Notre Dame is a complete school. It has everything. They have athletics, academics and religion, so it's definitely a school that I'll highly consider.

"(The meeting with Kelly) went really good," he said. "I'm really excited about him being at Notre Dame. I know he's a great coach and at Notre Dame he's going to have a lot more resources, so I think he's going to do great things there."

Although Jarrett has taken several unofficial visits, he's really just beginning to focus on this recruitment. "I might be heading to Vanderbilt this coming Saturday. Other than that, I'm not sure where I'll go after that," Grace explained. "Up until this week, I was mainly focused on basketball. Our season just ended, so I'm going to start looking more into football and start talking to more coaches.

"I'm really going to have to start making some decisions and see what I like about different schools and see what I don't like about different schools. I know when May comes that the coaches will be recruiting even harder, so I need to know what I want in a school and know what questions I want to ask. Top Stories
