Lynch Will Visit Irish

Notre Dame has built a reputation for having high-powered offenses, but Brian Kelly is determined to build up the defensive side of the ball. One of Notre Dame's top targets on the defensive side of the ball is defensive end Aaron Lynch from Island Coast High School (Cape Coral, Fla.)

Shortly after receiving his scholarship offer from Notre Dame, Aaron Lynch (6-foot-6, 245-pounds) said that he wanted to take an unofficial visit to see the campus. Obviously Lynch is a man of his word because he'll be in South Bend next week for an unofficial visit.

"I'll be up there April 6," Lynch responded when asked about his plans to visit Notre Dame. "We talk almost two or three times a week. I'm still open to everybody, but they're definitely No. 1 at this point.

"I think I've done enough homework on Notre Dame so far. (I'd like to see) the facilities, I heard that they're great. I just want to get a feel for everything, the atmosphere and get a feeling in general for the school."

"I want to see where they are going to play me," he said. "How big do they want to get me, along with the defensive scheme and philosophy."

In addition to his scholarship offer from the Irish, Lynch has offers from the likes of Florida State, USF, Ohio State, Alabama, LSU, Tennessee, West Virginia, Ole Miss, Clemson, Miami, and Iowa. Despite tabbing the Irish as his favorite, Aaron said that he's take several additional visits before making his decision. Top Stories
