Prestwood Has ND Out Front

It wasn't Jordan Prestwood's first visit to Notre Dame, so he knew what to expect when he visited this past weekend. Despite being familiar with the campus, the offensive lineman from Plant City High School (Fla.) found even more reason to be impressed with the Irish football program.

Jordan Prestwood (6-foot-6, 265-pounds) made two visits to South Bend last year, and he enjoyed both experiences. During this visit he had a chance to meet the new coaching staff at Notre Dame and he came away impressed.

"It was awesome," Jordan said of his unofficial visit. "I got to go to Friday's practice and Saturday's practice, so I got a lot done in that weekend, so it was a really good time. I definitely got to see everything I wanted to see. It was an awesome trip. I liked everything about it.

"It was the third time being there, so I knew pretty much everything, but my dad was with me, so I got to show him around. We got to meet with the academics advisors and we got to meet some players.

"I met all the coaches," he said. "The new offensive line coach, coach Warinner is an awesome guy. I love his coaching style, real high tempo. All the coaches are real high tempo at practice. They never stop moving which is awesome."

The tempo of Notre Dame practices aren't new to Jordan, and he enjoys the intensity of the Irish practices.

"I love high tempo, because that's how my coach runs our practices," Prestwood explained. "You never really stop moving, you never really get a break. You're always doing something, so it was great to see that they do the same thing.

"That's how the game is. You can't take a break in the game, and if you take a play off you're going to be the one to mess up the play. It's just good work.

Notre Dame was in good standing prior to this weekend's visit, but the Irish now find themselves at the top of Jordan's leader board.

"They're definitely my leader right now," he said. "All the schools that I've visited are great schools, and top of the line schools and they're all about even. But Notre Dame just took it up a notch, so they're my leader.
