Sean Duggan On The Rise & Surprised

Ohio linebacker Sean Duggan is surprised he's holding several offers with more programs looking. We get the latest on Duggan, his offer list and if Notre Dame is talking with him.

Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier High School continues to turn out players with great ability on and off the field. A name getting a lot of talk in the past couple of weeks is linebacker Sean Duggan. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound, Duggan, may be surprised by how fast the recruiting process is going, but is enjoying the opportunity to learn more about many college programs across the country.

"I've got nine written offers right now. Cincinnati, Boston College, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Minnesota, Duke, Air Force, Ball State and Ohio have all offered. The coaches from Michigan and Wake Forest tell me they want to offer me so that could happen very soon."

While Duggan is excited about the offers, there are also a few other programs talking about jumping on board.

"I'm also hearing from Notre Dame, Purdue, Northwestern and North Carolina."

While surprised, Duggan knows he'll need to start looking at the programs that have offered.

"It's all kind of happened and I didn't expect it to happen this fast. Coach Specht and I are going to sit down and talk about it later this week to kind of narrow it down. I'm looking for good academics and tradition and a good environment where I can feel I get along with the other players."

We'll continue to check in with Sean to see if the Irish take any more interest in him as a member of the Class of 2011. Top Stories
