Irish Visit Florida Quarterback

Hitting the road and watching players in action is just one of the nice things about recruiting players from the state of Florida. Notre Dame used Tuesday to get a look at Jerrard Randall.

"I just saw Notre Dame today as they came out to my practice," said Jerrard Randall of Hollywood (FL) Chaminade Madonna Prep. "I've talked with Coach (Tim) Hinton on the phone a couple of times and Coach (Mike) Elston watched practice today."

When asked what he knows about Notre Dame, Randall was not afraid to say he's still learning.

"I liked the type of offense they ran last year, but I'm just learning about what they are doing now. I know they like to throw the ball and I like to throw it."

At 6-foot-2, 185-pounds with 4.46 forty speed, Randall has some interest in the Notre Dame, but may already have a high favorite.

"I kind of want to get away from home. I have no problem leaving Florida. Right now I really like Oregon. I'm for sure going to visit there over the summer."

As for any plans to visit South Bend, the dual threat signal caller is hopeful of a visit to campus.

"I've never visited there but plan on trying to make a visit over the summer."

When asked to describe his game, Jerrard had no problem telling it like he sees it.

"My game kind of averages out, if I can run I'll beat you with my feet. If I need to pass, I'll beat you with my arm. Whatever hurts them is what I'm all about."

As for a timeline to closeout his recruitment, don't look for a long drawn out process.

"I'm going to try and make a commitment over the summer." will continue to follow Jerrard Randall over the next couple of months. Top Stories
