Irish Check Out Ja'Juan Story

Notre Dame is aggressively recruiting the state of Florida and it appears the Irish have their eye on another wide receiver from the Sunshine State. Ja'Juan Story from Nature Coast Technical High School (Brooksville, Fla.) appears to have an offer from the Irish and he'd like to take a look at Notre Dame this summer.

Ja'Juan Story (6-foot-4, 192-pounds) has always had some interest in Notre Dame, but he wasn't sure if they were really interested in him until recently.

"I hadn't heard much from them," Story said of his contact with Notre Dame. "I got a few things in the mail, but I didn't get much that let me know that they were interested in me. It wasn't a school that I thought would offer me and then one day coach Alford came to the school and said that they wanted to offer me. I was definitely surprised, and I was happy when he told me.

"It was a big offer. They have so much history and tradition behind the school. Who wouldn't want to go score a touchdown in front of Touchdown Jesus? They have the plaque in the tunnel "Play Like A Champion", they just have so much tradition. And it's one of the best academic programs in the country. I was excited to get an offer from them… it was real nice."

Extending the offer is one thing, but the Irish coaching staff would like to get Story on campus. If everything goes as planned, he will likely make it up to South Bend next month.

"We haven't talked about an official visit, but I'm going on a road trip this summer," Story explained. "Coach Alford asked me to see if we couldn't stop by Notre Dame, so that's what we're going to be doing.

"I haven't planned it all out yet with my uncle, but we're going to go to Minnesota, Ohio State, Pitt, Florida, North Carolina, and Louisville and schools like that. Everything is still in the works, but there's a high probability that I'll make it to Notre Dame."
