Hardy Enjoyed Gridiron Kings

Future Notre Dame player Eilar Hardy took part in the Gridiron Kings this weekend. As part of the Midwest/North squad, Hardy got a chance to show what he's capable of in the 7v7 event. Irish Eyes caught up with Hardy after play had finished.

As part of the Midwest/North squad in the Gridiron Kings event in Orlando, Florida, Eilar Hardy was given a chance to compete with some of the best players from across the country. How did the Notre Dame pledge fair?

"I feel I did real well. I made the All-Tournament team as I had three picks (one to the house) and also 3-4 pass breakups."

With their play finished Hardy will head back to Ohio on Monday to start work towards helping his high school team win a state championship.

"We played all of our games today (Sunday). We played four games and we didn't do the best as we could have by losing all four games. We lost the first game by one point, then the second game we loss by two. The third game saw us get blown out by the eventual champions before dropping our final game by a touchdown."

Hardy made the trip to Florida without his parents and found a travel partner in Ohio State pledge Ron Tanner.

Irish Eyes will continue to follow Eilar's journey until signing day in February.
