Terrail Lambert is 5-11, 190 pounds. He said his best 40 times has been 4.3. He recorded 66 tackles, 9 passes broken up, 11 sacks and 4 tackles for loss on defense.
The top athlete has one offer so far and many others are very interested in the top athlete. "Northwestern has offered," he said. "I am getting a lot of letters from schools like Michigan, Ohio State, Colorado, USC, UCLA, Oregon, Washington and Missouri."
Lambert should qualify with a core g.p.a. of 2.7 and he took the P.S.A.T. and scored a 970.
Lambert has made some camp plans but isn't sure how many camps he will attend. "I will go to the Nike camp at USC for sure. I have been invited to quite a few team camps but I am not sure if I will go. I will look into that. I have been to USC and UCLA camp in the past."
Most top players want to win and Lambert is one of those players. "I want to go to a team where I can produce the most. I want to win a National Championship. I don't really care where I play. I just want the best possible position with academics and athletics."
Don't expect a decision to come soon for Lambert. "I will probably decide very late. I want to learn a lot about each college and college life. I will take all my trips so I know what to expect. The location of the school doesn't matter to me. I just want to find a place that suits me." Lambert did indicate that his Mom would like him to stay closer to home.
Notre Dame appears to have made an impact on Lambert. "They are in my top 5 for sure. Their academics are top notch. If you can put Notre Dame on your resume, you can get a job anywhere. They have a rich tradition with all the National Championships and Heisman winners. I like them quite a bit."
Top players usually play with attitude and Lambert is no exception. "I like to play with a 50/50 mixture of flair and nastiness. I think playing in the secondary is 90 percent confidence. I think I am a very confident player and I don't think you can play on defense without being nasty."
Does Lambert have a top five right now? "Yeah, I like Michigan, USC, Miami, Florida State, Ohio State and Notre Dame the best. I guess that is a top six.
Comments. Lambert will not decide any time soon. He seems pretty interested in USC right now and if I had to guess, I would say they might be the team to beat in this race. It's very early and Terrail seems very open to any school. He should qualify and be a top prospect for the Irish in 2004.
