Junior Prospect - David Wess

Catching up with Whitehall Yearling QB David Wess

A QB to watch from the Columbus area this year is Whitehall Yearling QB David Wess.  David started out his career as a WR, but he made a switch over to QB along the way.  "When I got to HS, I felt I was a better quarterback than the guys there so I've been a quarterback ever since," he said.

We found out a bit more about David recently:

Measurements: 6-2, 195, 4.58

College position: "I'd like to play QB in college, but I will play other positions."  (Also has played safety)

Favorites: Ohio State, Maryland, Toledo, Boston College.  Maryland, Toledo and Akron have been contacting him the most. No offers yet.  He's got former teammates at Toledo.

Camps: He went to OSU camp last year, where he was voted the QB MVP. He also went to camp at Toledo. This year he's looking at camping at OSU and Michigan

Off-the-field: Plays basketball, hangs out with friends

Favorite Player: Donovan McNabb

Decision Factors: Early playing time, a place where I just feel comfortable and feel at home, and a good graduation rate.

Decision Timetable: "I'd get it over with early if the right school was offering."
