Junior Prospect - Chauncey Incarnato

Junior standout Chauncey Incarnato is one of the top standouts in the class of 2004. Both a defensive and offensive player, he is being recruited by a long list of major football programs.

Chauncey Incarnato is a player who could see his stock rise dramatically in the coming months. At 6-6.5, 281 pounds with good athleticism (45.6 shot, 24-9 record in wrestling), Chauncey has some very intriguing physical characteristics for an offensive lineman prospect.

He plans on being busy when it comes to camping and checking out schools. He plans on camping at Notre Dame, Purdue, and Iowa, and he is also considering Ohio State, Michigan, and several MAC schools as camping possibilities (he has camp invites to Bowling Green, Akron, Ohio U, Iowa, and Notre Dame). So far, he's had a chance to check out a few Ohio schools.

"I've been to Ohio U, Akron, and Ohio State," he said. "I will visit more schools in April when I have some time off."

Chauncey is a standout on both sides of the ball. He prefers defense to offense, but he said it wouldn't matter if he had to play offense in college.

"I only played LT part time (last season)," he said. "I was a full-time nose guard on defense."

Chauncey wants to major in physical therapy and minor in business and finance, and education and proximity will be important to him.

"I want a good college education so I can make sure I can take care of myself after I leave school," he said.

"Being close to home is important. I want my family to be able to watch me play."

It will also be important to him to know when he will play and what position he will play at before making a decision. Chauncey, who lists his favorite player as Howie Long, will hold off on making a decision until he sees what offers he gets.
