Williams Confirms Buckeye Visit

Central Florida commit Kion Williams is taking his official visit with the Knights this weekend, but the tailback confirmed he will take a visit to Ohio State next weekend. Although he does not hold a Buckeye offer, Williams has expressed interest and is looking forward to his official visit.

Even though Ohio State seems over-stocked at runningback for the next few years, the Buckeyes will be bringing in another back for an official visit next weekend. Interlachen (FLA) tailback Kion Williams has confirmed he will be in Columbus the weekend of January 28.

Williams, 5-foot-11, 195-pounds, committed to Central Florida last June, choosing the Knights over schools like Florida International, Arkansas and South Florida. Williams is taking his official to Central Florida this weekend, and stated that Ohio State will be his only other visit.

"I sent my tape to Ohio State after my season ended, and they have been in contact," Williams stated. "We had originally agreed I would visit on the 21st, but I'm going to Central Florida that weekend, and will be at Ohio State next weekend."

"They are recruiting me as a tailback, I believe, and they have not offered," he continued. "I'm looking forward to seeing what Ohio State is about, but I am still committed to UCF."

As a senior, Williams rushed for over 2,000 yards and scored 32 touchdowns for Interlachen. He is a physical runner, and with time in the weight room, could possibly play fullback at the next level.

Scout.com will continue to update the recruitment of Kion Williams, and will update his status after the Ohio State official visit.
