An "unofficial" Junior Day was held today at the WHAC with juniors from around Ohio receiving feedback and guidance in the recruiting process. Some of the surprise recruits who showed up included the talented running back Pernell Williams (who arrived with Dayton linebacker Nick Schubert) and some big recruiting targets like Bob Miller from Willoughby South and Chad Hoobler from Carrollton.
The Dayton connection included three rated Northmont kids: offensive lineman Branden Armstrong, wide receiver Romunn Grigsby and running back Jamar Harris. In other Northmont news, Pernell Williams revealed that he would be transferring to Northmont for his final high school season. This is a kid to watch and a team to watch next year!
The afternoon in Columbus was uneventful with instructions on how to handle visits and eligibility discussions. For many kids, the highlight was a talk given by Jay Richardson's mom who addressed recruiting from the mother's perspective.
The recruits brought along team jersey for photographs and highlight videos for eventual circulation. You can see many of the top OSU recruit videos here on Bucknuts by following the link on the front page of the website.
As we unearth more details about today's recruit visits to Columbus, we will pass them along!
