Two new offers for Brandon Barrett

WV's Brandon Barrett will be a guest on the upcoming Bucknuts Radio Hour. Mr. Bucknuts spoke with him today.

We just got off the phone with Brandon Barrett, one of the best receivers in the nation, according to some services. Brandon won the Kennedy Award last year, emblematic of the best football player in West Virginia. The unusual aspect of his getting this honor is that he is a junior. So how can he beat that next year? "I want to win it again", he replied matter-of-factly.

Brandon confirmed offers from Ohio State, Penn State, Marshall and West Virginia. Any others. "I just got two today – from Georgia Tech and from Pitt."

Any schools you would like to receive offers from that you haven't heard from yet? "Just the Florida schools, I guess. Plus, I would like to take visits down there."

When will you decide on a school? "Probably some time during my senior season. I need to see the schools and decide".

Have you been to OSU yet? "Naah. But I've talked with Coach Snyder and Coach Tressel and I might get there for the camp this summer."

What are Ohio State's chances with Brandon Barrett? "They were always my favorite growing up. They are still my favorite. They have the edge right now."

This is a kid who plays offense, defense and special teams. On defense, he's a cornerback. And even though teams didn't pass much against Barrett last season, he had 13 interceptions, 7 of them returned for touchdowns!

Now you can see why this kid is considered so special. Find out more about Brandon Barrett next week as he appears as our guest on the Bucknuts Radio Hour.
