Spartans Recruiting Tidbit

After having several members on the boards ask about a new player heading to East Lansing for this season we did a little digging. Here is what we learned.

Former Vanderbilt offensive lineman James Kittredge will be on the roster and will redshirt this fall at Michigan State as he sits out his NCAA required year for transferring.

Kittredge was a 3-star defensive end out of Don Bosco Prep High School in Ramsey, New Jersey. He played in the Under Armour All-American game before signing with Vanderbilt.

Because of depth issues Kittredge was moved to the offensive side of the ball during his freshman season at Vanderbilt.

Coming out of high school Kittredge stood 6-foot-4, 250-pounds. He has now added 20 pounds to his frame and will be a defensive tackle for the Spartans in 2012.
