The NFL lockout is over, but there's another decades-old group of football teams based in the Midwest set to begin making news this week. That would be the Big Ten, and we are previewing the rest of the conference Tuesday and Thursday at BuckeyeSports.com.
Players and coaches from all 12 of the conference's schools will gather in Chicago later this week for the 40th annual Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon and media days, an event that always produces a lot of great talking points, but first we're taking a look at what every team had to work on this offseason and what kind of progress they were able to make.
Starting with the division that should be called the West and should not include Michigan or Michigan State, staff writer Marcus Hartman will preview six teams today with five more tomorrow for you to enjoy while our fearless staff travels west to the Second City for the festivities set to begin Thursday.
In no particular order, check out previews for Iowa, (click here), Michigan State (click here), Minnesota (click here), Northwestern (click here), Nebraska (click here) and the team every Ohio State fans loves to hate the most, Michigan (click here).
