Visitors Heading To Ohio State

Ohio State will not only host Wisconsin this Saturday in their toughest game of the year to date, but the Buckeyes will also have numerous top prospects on campus to view the action. Both the 2012 and 2013 classes will be well-represented as Ohio State looks to impress potential future Buckeyes. Who is headed to Columbus this weekend?

Ohio State will be hosting several highly-rated recruits this weekend when the Buckeyes take on Wisconsin in Columbus. Even though the current recruiting effort has been slowed this year by an NCAA investigation and the resignation of former head coach Jim Tressel, the Buckeyes hope to put their best foot forward this Saturday with potential recruits.

2012 PROSPECTS:

Adolphus Washington: Cincinnati Taft defensive end. The headline-grabbing visitor for this weekend, Washington is the top overall prospect in Ohio and one of the best defensive ends in America. He remains the top uncommitted prospect in Ohio, and is at the top of Ohio State's recruiting board.

Dwayne Stanford: Cincinnati Taft wide receiver. Another highly-rated prospect, and a teammate of Washington, Stanford will also get the full-court press from the Buckeye staff. Landing this talented duo would go a long way toward easing the pain of missing out on other top-rated recruits in this class for Ohio State.

Mike Thomas: Fork Union wide receiver. Thomas will be visiting with current teammate Cardale Jones, already a Buckeye commit from last year. There are rumors that Thomas has silently committed to Ohio State, and this visit is a mere formality. Do I believe that? Yes, I do.

Brionte Dunn: Canton GlenOak tailback. Although technically not listed as an uncommitted prospect, Ohio State needs to recruit Dunn in that fashion. He committed to Ohio State last fall and states he is still committed, but Dunn has taken unofficial visits to Michigan and Penn State, and an official visit back to Ann Arbor is in the plans.

Joe Burger: Cincinnati La Salle linebacker. Even though Burger has not been offered to this point, Ohio State wants to add at least one more linebacker. Burger has been in contact with the Buckeye staff and an offer could be forthcoming.

Willie Henry: Cleveland Glenville defensive tackle. Henry does not hold a Buckeye offer, but he has had an impressive senior season and it wouldn't be totally shocking to see one heading his way.

Tyler Grassman: Gahanna Lincoln punter-kicker. Ohio State told Grassman they are looking to add a kicking specialist, but wants to wait until the NCAA rules on potential scholarship reductions.

Bam Bradley: Trotwood-Madison safety. This recruitment has never gotten off the ground, and this would appear to be Ohio State's best, and possibly last, chance at Bradley.

James Henry: Upper Arlington offensive tackle. An under the radar prospect committed to Toledo.

Alex Pace: Cleveland Glenville defensive tackle.

V'Angelo Bentley: Cleveland Glenville athlete.

Sean Draper: Cleveland Glenville cornerback.

Justin Hardee: Cleveland Glenville wide receiver.

L.J. Mosley: Trotwood-Madison offensive tackle.

All of the remaining Buckeye commitments for the 2012 class are expected to be in attendance as well.

2013 PROSPECTS:

Derrick Green: Richmond (VA) Hermitage tailback. This junior battering-ram will be reunited with summer camp buddy Brionte Dunn, and the two have struck up quite a friendship. Green has consistently had Ohio State at, or near, the top of his list for a long while. High school teammate of current Buckeye Curtis Grant.

Tim Kimbrough: Indianapolis Warren Central linebacker. With linebacker being a position of great need, Kimbrough should be getting the royal treatment from the Buckeye staff. One of the top linebacker prospects in America, Kimbrough has long been fond of Ohio State and they would move in as the favorites with an offer.

Cameron Burrows: Trotwood-Madison cornerback. It has been an amazing season for this highly-rated junior, and Burrows holds a Buckeye offer. He will be when, not if, on committing to Ohio State at some point.

Jalin Marshall: Middletown athlete. "Mr. Excitement" heads to Ohio State as the highest-rated prospect in Ohio for 2013, and one of the best in America. His recruitment could come down to Ohio State and Notre Dame, so this will be a big moment for the Buckeye staff.

Malik Zaire: Kettering Alter quarterback. Zaire was offered by Ohio State recently, and right now has Wisconsin and the Buckeyes out in front, so this should be a fun night for him.

Jaylon Smith: Fort Wayne Bishop Luers linebacker. The brother of current Buckeye Roderick Smith, and a player that has favored the Buckeyes throughout the process.

Courtney Love: Cardinal Mooney linebacker. One of the top players in Ohio, and a player in line for a Buckeye offer.

Michael McCray: Trotwood-Madison linebacker. Another fine linebacker prospect, and the son of a former Buckeye great.

Kyle Meadows: West Chester Lakota West offensive tackle. The state is loaded with offensive tackle prospects for 2013, and this one fits in with what Ohio State wants.

Evan Lisle: Centerville offensive tackle. My personal favorite as the top offensive tackle in Ohio for 2013, and Lisle is still developing as a talent.

Lovell Peterson: Huber Heights Wayne center. Peterson has had an impressive season for Wayne, and should be in line for an Ohio State offer.

Shelton Gibson: Cleveland Heights wide receiver. Gibson might be the top wide receiver prospect in the 2013 class, and although he is a big SEC fan, Ohio State has a chance to impress against Wisconsin.

Tre Williams-Brown: Trotwood-Madison defensive end.

Donovan Munger: Shaker Heights defensive tackle.

De'Niro Laster: Shaker Heights wide receiver-tight end-linebacker.

Reon Dawson: Trotwood-Madison cornerback.

Dylan Weisman: Cincinnati Colerain guard.
