John Long from Ravenna is an offensive lineman to keep an eye on this year. He currently stands at 6-3 ½ , 255, and runs a 5.0 flat. He's been getting attention from some solid programs.
Long, whose favorite star is Orlando Pace, is working hard in the weight room.
"I've been in the weight room constantly," he said. "My flexibility is increasing. I am looking to be 265. I played some last season at 240. Last time I checked, my body fat was at about 9-10%."
He hasn't decided yet when the decision will come.
"There's a part of me who wants to get it over with," he said. "It depends on who offers."
Tedd Bullock from Valley High School in Lucasville, OH is a hard-hitting defender who you might not know much about, but many big schools have become interested.
"Boston College, Ohio State, Indiana, and Purdue have all been into the school."
The 6-4, 230 pound Bullock can run a 4.78 in the 40 and is a versatile player who could play LB, DE, or TE. Many schools have already picked where they like him.
"Most are looking at me for defensive end," he said. "I will play anywhere though."
Tedd has been busy with track this spring as he participates in the shot, discus, 4x200, and 4x400. If that isn't enough, he's been going all-out to increase his speed and physical prowess as he's been taking performance enhancement classes, which includes getting on a treadmill at 19 MPH.
Don't expect a decision anytime soon from Bullock.
"I'm going to take my time," he said. "I'm going to see how camps go. I am going to wait until the first couple of games of the year."
When asked what schools he would visit if he had to pick now, Tedd was able to select five.
"Ohio State, Purdue, Michigan, BC, and Kentucky," he said. "I like Purdue a lot and BC; they're both recruiting me hard."
