Another Visit Weekend For Bucks

It won't be the star-studded cast of a few weeks ago for the Wisconsin game, but it will still be a big visit weekend for Ohio State for this Saturday's game with Penn State. Two Florida wide receivers, Herb Waters and Ricquan Southward, will be on official visits, while top junior Jalin Marshall headlines a solid class of underclassmen.

This Saturday's game with Penn State will be the last home game for Ohio State, and the Buckeyes will take advantage of the opportunity to host several top prospects.

Ohio State won't have the rock-star cast that was on hand a few weeks ago for the Wisconsin game, but this will be an impressive group of prospects.

Herbert Waters: Senior. Homestead (FLA) wide receiver. Waters is currently committed to Miami, but will take an official visit to Ohio State. Wide receiver wouldn't appear to be a position of high demand, but Waters is a fine athlete and could also project as a cornerback.

Ricquan Southward: Senior. Lakeland (FLA) wide receiver. A bigger (6-foot-1, 190-pounds) receiver than Waters, but not as highly-rated as a prospect. Southward is a pure sleeper prospect, and one not as highly rated as the current committed Buckeye wideout prospects. This will be an official visit.

Demetrious Cox: Senior. Jeanette (PA) safety. The four-star prospect was said to have been favoring Penn State, but there could be a change coming in his favorite list with the Nittany Lions in the middle of a horrible scandal. Ohio State needs to make a big impression on Cox, and hope to be still in the game when the coaching situation is finalized.

Ifeadi Odenigbo: Senior. Centerville linebacker. Odenigbo is not officially confirmed yet, but he is so talented that even a possibility of a visit gets him listed. The four-star talent does not have Ohio State at the top of his list, so the Buckeyes need to get him on campus at some point and try to get back into the mix.

Jalin Marshall: Junior. Middletown athlete. The highest-rated junior in Ohio, Marshall will visit Ohio State on the heels of an impressive trip to Notre Dame, and those two schools figure to be battling it out for his services over the next year. This visit will be good, but finalizing the coaching situation will go a long way toward determining his fate. One of the early five-star prospects.

Billy Price: Junior. Austintown Fitch defensive tackle. Price has put together an amazing offer list to date, and Ohio State figures to be at or near the top all the way to Signing Day. Price will be a top target for the Ohio State staff for 2013. An early four-star prospect.

Eli Woodard: Junior. Eastern HS (NJ) cornerback. There are rumblings that Woodard might be a silent commit, and the staff has asked him to wait until after Signing Day to make it public. Regardless, Woodard has Ohio State on top, and he very well could be the first commit to the Buckeye 2013 recruiting class. An early four-star prospect on

Sean Welsh: Junior. Springboro offensive guard. One of the top interior linemen in Ohio for 2013, Welsh will attract a lot of recruiting attention, and Ohio State is high on his list. He has already attracted three MAC offers, and the BCS run is not far off.

Dareian Watkins: Sophomore. Galion wide receiver. Too early to go overboard, but Watkins looks to have the ability to be a top-rated member of the 2014 class. Is drawing recruiting attention from several top schools, and Wisconsin has already hosted him for a game. One to watch going forward.
