THE OUT LIST:
Demetrious Cox: He might not know what canceling the visit means, but it ain't good. It could mean good news coming on the Bam Bradley front, or it could be the rash of senior defensive backs offered recently are simply better. Regardless, scratch Cox off the Buckeye commitment list.
THE IN LIST:
Joey O'Connor: He's on the IN list because he will take the Buckeye offer on the spot if one is extended. Will Ohio State offer this weekend? That's the million dollar question, but it's hard to see them flying him 1,000 miles to say "We aren't sure." I think he gets offered and accepts, but that's a guess. O'Connor is a guard at the next level, and has no experience in pass protection, so he's more project than early contributor. But, I see O'Connor with more upside than Alex Kozan, the two offensive line commits in the current class, and three of the offensive line commits from last year's class. Only Brian Bobek would be better in my opinion.
Davonte' Neal: There is a need for speed in this class, on both sides of the football and Neal can play either side. He is probably being recruited as an offensive play-maker, but is also a fine cornerback prospect. Ohio State has offered and would take his commitment in a heartbeat. Can Urban Meyer work his magic this weekend, and secure a commitment from Neal? Don't bet against it.
David Perkins: It's easy to see why Ohio State is pursuing Perkins, because the need at linebacker is glaring. He might be able to step in and contribute early, like Ryan Shazier in 2011, and Perkins is actually bigger. Does Perkins want to play tailback in college? Will Ohio State offer, with Camren Williams and Dalton Santos waiting in the wings? What about the possibility of Jamal Marcus being in the class? This one will be interesting to watch unfold this weekend.
