Porter's drawing attention

Tony Porter is drawing attention from some big-time programs and he feels one could be close to offering him.

"Ohio State, Florida State, Georgia, and Georgia Tech are the schools showing me the most attention right now," Tony Porter told Scout. "None of them have offered me yet, but I think I will get some offers this spring."

Who could be first to pull the trigger?

"If I had to pick one, I would pick Ohio State. I have had good conversation with Coach Withers there and they like me a lot. He talks to me about how they want me to visit and all that, so I know they are interested."

The 6-foot-2, 270 pound interior defensive lineman out of Suwanee (GA) Peachtree Ridge has already visited an in-state school this year. Georgia had him on campus back in January.

"I went to one of Georgia's Junior Days and it was pretty nice. I liked the facilities, the coaches, and it was a pretty good visit. I talked to them a little and I think they will keep recruiting me."

Porter is open right now and hungry for that first offer, but he did name Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State, and South Carolina as schools of interest.
