Ten To Watch For The Buckeyes

The Ohio State spring game is on tap for this coming Saturday, and it has proven to be a big hit with Buckeye fans over the years. The game has also been a recruiting showcase in the past, and it could provide big dividends again. Here are ten prospects to keep an eye on at Ohio State this weekend.

This Saturday's spring game at Ohio State will bring together a star-studded group of recruits, similar to Urban Meyer's first big recruiting weekend after being named head coach.

That weekend in December resulted in commitments from the likes of Tommy Schutt, Se'Von Pittman and Brionte Dunn within days of the event. Could something similar happen again in the next few days?

Here are ten of the highest-rated prospects that are confirmed visitors at Ohio State for this weekend's contest.

Joey Bosa: In a group of big names, this is certainly the biggest. The Fort Lauderdale prospect is one of the top defensive ends in America. This will be the five-star's second visit to Ohio State, and a return trip within one week has to grab the attention of Buckeye recruiting fans.

Alex Anzalone: The four-star linebacker will be making his third trip to Ohio State in a short period of time. Are the Buckeyes poised to land Anzalone? This one has to be considered promising for Ohio State.

Mike Heuerman: The Naples four-star tight end is down to Ohio State, LSU, Notre Dame and Miami. He has spent a considerable amount of time at all four, and has his announcement scheduled for April 27th. Will he join his brother in Columbus?

Courtney Love: Will Urban Meyer land this in-state three-star linebacker prospect? Love is down to Ohio State and Nebraska, and had a great visit with the Huskers last week.

James Quick: Hasn't been much mention of the five-star wide receiver in connection with Ohio State, but it's time to change that. The Buckeyes will make a strong pitch to the Louisville Trinity sensation. Watch for this one.

Maurice Hurst Jr. The Westwood (MA) Xaverian four-star defensive tackle will be on-hand Saturday. Meyer has shown early on in his Ohio State tenure how much he loves collecting linemen. Will Hurst be next?

Christopher Worley: It is Cleveland Glenville, so a commitment to Ohio State is always worth watching out for. Worley is versatile enough to fill several roles for the Buckeyes, and a quick commitment would not be surprising at all.

Elijah Daniel: Another four-star prospect, the Avon (IN) defensive end fits in perfectly with Meyer's defensive philosophy. There are rumors Daniel wants to head to the SEC, but Ohio State and Meyer will take their best shot.

Derrick Green: He has been a Buckeye recruit for so long, he almost feels like a commit. Will Green make it official this weekend? The four-star tailback talks about waiting it out until next winter, but you never know.

Tim Kimbrough: No offer currently from Ohio State, but could that change this weekend? If Kimbrough receives the offer he wants very badly, there is a chance he could commit on the spot. Will Ohio State wait on Kimbrough to see what happens with Love, Anzalone, and also Jaylon Smith? Stay tuned.
