One school is recruiting Bowers the hardest.
"I would have to say Pittsburgh is recruiting me the hardest," he said. "They were the first to offer me, and they are really coming after me. Next, would be Clemson. They have not offered me yet, but they are recruiting me very hard. I am wide open right now and do not have any favorite schools."
Bowers has already taken a few trips.
"I have already been to Clemson and (South) Carolina," he said. "Both places were very nice. Hopefully, I will be able to camp at both schools this summer and get offers from them. I would also like to camp at Alabama and Florida."
Although he is only a sophomore, Bowers already has an idea of what he is looking for in a school.
"Academics are first, you cannot go far without academics," he said. "I want to go to college and get a good education, and then go to the NFL. I also want to major in Art."
Bowers is already looking forward to his junior season.
"First, academic wise, I want to stay on top of all my grades," he said. "Football wise, I want to win a state championship."
Bowers is big, physical receiver. He does a nice job of attacking the ball at its highest point and has good hands. He has great body control and leaping ability. Although he is not the fastest receiver, Bowers finds ways to get open. He is still growing and if he continues to develop, could be one of the top players in South in 2014.
