Recruiting Update - Gerald Cadogan

The latest on Portsmouth OL Gerald Cadogan.

A player a lot of fans have their eye on is Gerald Cadogan, the fine OL from Portsmouth, OH. We just talked with Gerald a few minutes ago, and as of then, he had not been offered, but that could change as he said OSU would call him on or before Saturday and let him know.

What did Gerald like about the camp?

"Just getting around to meet the other prospects there was great and also the coaches," he said.

He said the coaching he received helped him a lot. "I think I'll do a lot of that during my senior season," he said.

"Brandon Braxton, he's a cool cat," he said. "There's some other ones, but mainly Braxton."

Gerald also gave his measurements.

"My 40 was a 5.2. My first one was 5.27 and my second one was 5.28. My broad jump was a 7.7 and my bench press was at 225 14 times," he said.

What did the coaches say to him?

"They said they're impressed with my footwork and they are very, very interested in me," he said.

Gerald measured in at 6-5, 308 and said that Ohio State, Northwestern and Michigan are the schools he is mainly looking at right now. He plans to visit those schools before making a choice.

"I plan to do that sometime in July," he said.
