Three remain for Hayes

With a decision right around the corner only three schools remain for Nigel Hayes.

The recruitment of Toledo (Ohio) Whitmer product Nigel Hayes is coming to an end soon, and at the moment only three schools remain in the mix. The 6-foot-8 Hayes is now in the process of figuring out exactly which school is right for him.

"I've taken all of my visits and I am currently down to three schools," said Hayes. "I told Minnesota I wouldn't be attending their school so it is down to Wisconsin, Ohio State, and Stanford."

Hayes visited all three of his finalists officially, and has different reasons for all three being the schools he is considering at the end.

Stanford: Really what is keeping them in the mix is I know Coach (Johnny) Dawkins will develop me into the player that I want to be due to his knowledge of being a great player and his coaching ability. Also Stanford is obviously a great school and if you get a degree from Stanford you will be set for life.

Ohio State: It has always been a dream school for me. Ohio State has always been one of my dream schools and they are one of the best teams in the country.

Wisconsin: I like Wisconsin and the coaching staff and they like me as well. I like how they do things, how they have recruited me, and the plan they have for me if I was to be a Badger.

At the moment no specific date has been announced for when he plans on deciding, but Hayes says it won't be long before everyone knows.

"I haven't set a specific date for a decision, but it may be soon," Hayes explained. "By soon I don't mean this week, but it won't be much longer."

Hayes is a three-star prospect and one of the best players in the state of Ohio.
