"I went to Purdue this past weekend and they offered me today," he said.
To have a first offer come, and to have be from a Big Ten school that he has already seen made this one to remember.
"It feels great! Especially to know that all your hard work is paying off and you're coming one step closer to your dream."
Beyond the excitement of just having an offer, Millender was very impressed by what he saw of the school.
"When I visited there, everything was just great. Their facilities compete with all the schools in the nation and they have a good program."
With a coaching change on the horizon, Millender says he will wait and see what happens.
"Obviously the firing of Coach Hope, that was a bit of a disappointment, but I'll see how that situation plays out."
