Top TE visits Clemson

Jeb Blazevich, one of the top tight ends in the class of 2014, made a trip down to Clemson on Saturday for the South Carolina game.

The Charlotte Christian [N.C.] junior gave the trip a solid review.

"It was a blast," Blazevich told CUTigers earlier this week. "We got there about 4 -- we just went and hung out. It was a good game. It was actually one of the first games I've been to that wasn't a blow out. It was a fun game to watch. Clemson lost, so that wasn't very good, but I felt like it was a good game."

Two of the Tigers' coaches greeted the three-star tight end while he was in town.

"I got to speak with coach [Chad] Morris and coach [Danny] Pearman, but they had a bunch of guys that are committed and a bunch of 2013 guys. I understand that they were a bit busy," Blazevich said. "Coach Morris and coach Pearman will be by the school later this week, so I'll get to talk to them more after that."

Saturday's game in Tigertown was the second one of the season for Blazevich, who visited Clemson for the Ball State game. He also went to Georgia, LSU, Ohio State and Alabama this season.

Now, he's up to over 20 offers.

"I'm sort of forming a list. I think I'm going to wait until the college season is over, to see who all is left after all of this, who's going where," Blazevich said.

At first, he wants to work the list down to five.

"I think if can get to at least three before spring, I can check out those during the spring, then, hopefully, commit before summer," Blazevich said.

There are several factors behind wanting to get the decision out of the way so early.

"I want to have that security and just have all the recruiting stuff just be out of my mind and just be a normal kid again," Blazevich said. "That and the fact that if I have a school picked out…it makes it a lot easier for me to get to know everybody, get to know the schools, the coaches, get to know a bunch more guys I'd probably be there with."
