WHAT TO LIKE: We like the overall physical size Bertke brings at 6-foot-6, 200-pounds. As he continues to grow we expect to see his arm strength to continue to get stronger allowing him to make all the throws. As a two-time state champion Bertke shows great leadership and a high football IQ.

WHAT NEEDS WORK: Bertke needs to continue to get bigger and stronger and show the ability to make all the throws needed at the college level.

OVERALL: With an offer already in hand from Toledo, Bertke is a prospect we expect to see several other programs to take high interest in. He's got the frame and the ability to beat you with his arm or legs. In the state championship game Bertke was 17-of-23 for 166 yards while also picking up 102 yards on the ground while taking a pounding on each carry.
