Four-Star Loves WVU Visit

Four-star wide receiver Shelton Gibson took his first official visit last weekend to West Virginia, and he came away extremely impressed with the Mountaineer program. The Cleveland Heights prospect has two remaining visits scheduled, and could take all five.

Shelton Gibson is Ohio's top-rated wide receiver prospect, and the Cleveland Heights four-star athlete is in the process of taking his official visits.

Gibson, 6-foot-1, 190-pounds, has speed to burn and recently completed another impressive season at Heights. Last weekend, he took his first official visit, and came away impressed.

"I went to West Virginia last weekend, and I loved it there," Gibson stated. "They treated me great and I got to meet some of their other commits. I know they're losing some great wide receivers, and they told me I would have the opportunity to play early there."

"I have a good relationship with Coach (Shannon) Dawson, and think he would be a great receiver coach for me," he added. "I love their offense, especially when two receivers end up with so many catches like Tavon Austin and Stedman Bailey. I'm planning to go back there for an unofficial visit sometime, and I really think a lot of their program."

Gibson is hoping to take all five official visits before National Signing Day, but he only has two other visits set up currently.

"I'm going to North Carolina State next weekend, and then to Ohio State on January 11," Gibson stated. "My coach is talking to Oregon about an official visit, and I have a few other schools in mind. I want to take all five visits. I will probably announce my decision on Signing Day, but I'm not sure of that."
