Bonnafon makes the call

Reggie Bonnafon had been considering committing in early January. So it comes as no surprise that the three-star quarterback pulled the trigger yesterday.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect was considering offers from Louisville and Illinois. But he went with his hometown Louisville Cardinals.

"I just loved the coaches and how they trusted in how I can play the quarterback position," said Bonnafon.

Bonnafon has had limited time at quarterback during his high school career because of Trinity three-year starter Travis Wright. But Bonnafon did play at wide receiver at times for the state champions. Bonnafon had 27 receptions for 394 yards and five touchdowns.

Even though it's still the middle of his junior year Bonnafon didn't need more time and was ready to make his decision public.

"I felt like there was no reason for me to wait when I knew where I wanted to go," he said. "And now I can just focus on the upcoming season," he finished.

Bonnafon completed all four of his passes this season with three touchdown passes.
