Ford with a nice offer list

Isaiah Ford will be a 2014 name to remember from the Sunshine State. The junior wide receiver already has a handful of nice offers and you can expect that list to continue growing. Get the latest on his recruitment right here.

Isaiah Ford says he has no early leaders right now, but it's exciting to see his recruitment really pick up.

"It's been really busy lately, a lot of schools are now coming in the mix. I have a couple offers – South Carolina, North Carolina, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, UCF, Louisville, Ohio State. A lot of schools are starting to show interest, like Florida, Florida State, Alabama, LSU. It's been really busy," Ford said.

"Florida and Florida State are real close to offering me I think."

The Trinity Christian (Jacksonville, FL) standout grew up a Florida State fan and he's hoping the Seminoles offer soon.

"I just like the tradition and the swagger of the school and the passion that they play with, they always play hard, and the coaching staff," he said.

Ford has also developed a close relationship with South Carolina Receivers Coach Steve Spurrier Jr. The 6-foot-2, 165-pound standout knows that he can contribute a lot to a program at the next level.

"I run great routes, I have a great leaping ability, I can jump over the defender and catch the ball, and I have deceptive speed. It doesn't look like it, but I'm moving kind of fast," he said.

"I think I can play in a pro-style offense or a spread offense pretty well. In high school right now, I play in a Wing-T offense, so I think I can pretty much play in any offense."

While Ford doesn't expect to be making a decision any time soon, he is thinking about what he'll be looking for in a college program.

"I'm looking for somewhere where I fit at the school. I'm not just going to go to a school just because I like the school. I'm looking for the academics, if they have what I want to major in, and as far as playing time, I want to come in and compete for a starting job right away," he said.
