Kitt has two favorites

ATLANTA - For now, there are two schools are standing out to former Georgia wide receiver commitment Demarre Kitt.

The No. 27 wide receiver in the class of 2014 spoke with CUTigers during the week leading up to the third annual Georgia Junior Bowl.

"I've got two leaders. Clemson and Ohio State," Kitt said. "Then, Oregon, USC, Georgia."

Why Clemson and Ohio State?

"Clemson, because I love their offense, I like how it is up there. It's like home. Ohio State, they've got a good tradition up there. Urban Meyer is a good coach. They went 12-0 this year, and they put out a lot of good receivers, so they know good receivers."

As Kitt weighs his options for the next level, there is one factor that will be a big part of his decision.

"I never want to be the only person I know, the only person to go to a school. I'd like to have somebody come with me. I'd like to have a friend up there," he said.

That's part of the draw to Clemson. Kitt's buddy, Deshaun Watson, is committed to the Tigers' 2014 class.

"I want to go where Deshaun goes," Kitt said. "If he sticks with Clemson, I'll look at them even harder. Wherever he goes, I'm going to look at harder."

He added, "I like his game. I like he is. I like to know a quarterback, too."

As a junior, Kitt caught 68 passes for 1,151 yards with 11 touchdowns. He also returned 11 punts for 180 yards.

As a sophomore, Kitt had 74 receptions for 1,235 yards, and 11 touchdowns. He also had a punt return for a touchdown.

As a freshman, Kitt recorded 42 catches for 651 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also had a punt return for a touchdown.
