Devers, 6-foot-3, 270-pounds, is one of Ohio's top offensive line prospects for 2014, and he currently holds an offer from Toledo.
"It was sweet being up at Michigan State, and it was one of my favorite visits so far," Devers stated. "I loved the coaching staff, and being at the basketball game was great because the atmosphere was amazing. I liked the campus and everything about Michigan State."
"I spent most of the day with Coach (Pat) Narduzzi," he added. "He's a really good guy and he likes me on defense, but they're really recruiting me as a center. I went with the offensive recruits, but told Coach Narduzzi I would play defensive tackle for him. They said they're building relationships right now, and we are trying to get to know each other."
Michigan State is not the only Big Ten school recruiting Devers, and he is hoping to take a few more unofficial visits.
"I want to visit Penn State, and I hope to get back out to Northwestern again," Devers said. "Penn State is saying they like me a lot, and I speak with Coach (Charlie) Fisher fairly often. They said they are going pretty slow with the juniors, because they have fewer scholarships to give out."
"I was at Penn State for camp last year and really liked it a lot," he admitted. "Louisville, Notre Dame and West Virginia are supposed to be coming to the school this month, and I like all of those schools."
